Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing footage shown off by Neocore Games

In the US, the name Van Helsing is near synonimous with a terrible Hugh Jackman movie from 2004 which boasts an incredible 35% on Metacritic. Thankfully, this new title from Neocore Games in Hungary looks quite a bit better.

Neocore Games is the company responsible for the underappreciated cult strategy series King Arthur: The Role-Playing Wargame, as well as the recently announced Broken Sea. The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing is due out in Q4 2012 and will be releasing on Xbox 360 (XBLA) and PC.

This game looks like it's going to be an absolute bloodbath...not to mention a bit foggy, though I guess that could just be a trick to hide unfinished level geometry. Either way, I'll probably give this game a go if it's cheap enough, or goes on sale on Steam (I'm assuming it's gonna be on Steam) at some point. On another note, I didn't think the Van Helsing movie was that bad either, but I generally like dumb action romps anyway.

I actually didn't think the Van Helsing movie was that awful. Sure, the CGI creatures were crap, and the story was stupid, but the music was great, and while hammy, the Dracula was enjoyable to watch. I can think of far worse, or more boring movies of a similar nature. Like say, the League of Extraordinary gentlemen.

So is this game a diablo 3 mod? Cause it sure looks like it. Even the inventory menu looks very similar.
