    Incredible article. Kojima to me was always a great deal ahead of his time, both gameplay and storywise in his games. I remember getting goose bumps when I saw actual pictures of a cypher in development, several years after the release of MGS2. Also I'm now really curious about the 'damaged New York' content that had to be removed from MGS2...

    Heh, pretty fun read! And kinda makes a great job on pointing out that despite all the mockery and flak MGS has gotten for being super convoluted and plot heavy, Kojima really does knows his shit, and certainly is a bit of a visionary when it comes to pushing storytelling in games forward. And to be fair, most of the predictions that are flat out wrong here were created mostly in the service of gameplay more than because he actually thought things would work that way in the future.
