Guitar Hero 2 mourns arch rival

Air guitar is dead. That’s the claim being made by Red Octane, who say their game Guitar Hero 2, has killed it. To mourn its passing, they held a mock cremation in East London, with gothic pallbearers and "tributes" from Slash from Guns ‘n’ Roses (second right), Buddy Holly (third right) and Ace Frehley from Kiss (far right)- or rather, some enthusiastic lookalikes. “The game was released with the tagline ‘Kiss your air guitar goodbye,” explains Red Octane’s Dave Noble. “But traditional funeral parlours wouldn’t consider it.” The event was eventually held in an Art Studio in Shoreditch. “People generally took it seriously, even if it was a bit of a laugh.” Oddly enough, our air guitar still works just fine...
