It's Golden Joystick Awards time - time for you to tell us which games deserve the right to be called the best. Best what? Well, there's more than 20 categories to vote on, but today we're going to jump into a party together and talk about Best Multiplayer Game.
This is a difficult category from which to pick just one game, partly because the contenders are all so different. Bloodborne's use of ghosts and messages alongside invading players is clever and makes playing online feel like a totally different experience than going solo. Meanwhile, mayhem runs rampant in Los Santos thanks to the antics of GTA Online players. Destiny has made huge strides since its launch one year ago, and continues to be one of the best experiences in terms of pure smoothness and satisfaction from taking down a boss in strikes and raids.
Personally, I'm going with Heroes of the Storm. I'm a big MOBA fan and, while I was initially worried that Blizzard's foray into the genre was going to feel like too little, too late, I've been really impressed with what's on offer. I play almost every night and appreciate how accessible it is, the variety of maps, and the strategies players employ. Plus I just like shouting in the voice of Illidan Stormrage whenever I use his ult.
Agree with my pick? Or does it make you feel the hatred of ten thousand years? Either way, go cast your vote in the 2015 Golden Joystick Awards so you can have your say (and claim a copy of BioShock Infinite while you're at it)!
