Gillian Anderson is Gellhorn

When she’s not chasing the mysterious and the impossible as Dana Scully, Gillian Anderson would rather spend time on the stage, in prestige TV dramas like Bleak House and developing her own material.

Through her production company, she’s nabbed the rights to Caroline Moorehead’s biography of Martha Gellhorn, a crusading – and trailblazing – female journalist who survived not only Vietnam and the Spanish Civil War but also marriage to Ernest Hemingway.

Anderson plans to star and has already hired Sharman Macdonald to pen a script. Variety is tracking down the story .
