Writing is hard. No matter how many times you quintuple-check your work, you and your computer are fallible. Inevitably, whether through typoglycemia, translation difficulties, or a simple failure to proofread, a typographical error is bound to slip through. The consequences can be dire--an unfortunate email, a ruined resume, a pathetic banner, a botched wedding proposal. It seems that, on the Internet in particular, misspellings and incorrect grammar bring out everyone's inner copy editor.
Games are even worse than online articles, because once your game goes into production there's no turning back on an embarrassing typo. It only takes one errant word, letter, comma, or conjunction to instantly transform a poignant or informative line of dialogue into laughable gibberish. What follows is a cavalcade of goofy Engrish translations, nonsensical sentences, and made-up words. You might not spot the multitude of mistakes right away, but keep at it--each and every one of these screw-ups is hilarious in its own way.
