GamesRadar UK Podcast 022 – Behind the velvet robe

What’s that coming over the hill? Is it a monster? No, it’s erstwhile GamesRadar employee David ‘Made of Spam’ Meikleham. That’s right. Our old pal Meiks joins us as ‘special’ guest in the studio this week. Find out what he’s got to say by listening to the podcast. But don’t get your hopes up. To be honest the whole thing is a bit of a shambles. But never mind. Perhaps that’s how you like it?

If you want to listen to the podcast – no pressure, it’s completely your decision – click on ‘Click to hear us now!’ to hear us now. It’s pretty self-explanatory.

The games we're giving away on the podcast this week are: The Last Story (Wii) and Green Day Rock Band (360). To be in with a chance of winning, listen for the question at the start of the podcast and leave your answer in the comments on this very page. Best answer wins. Good luck.

If you have a question for the Electronic Mailbag, look out for the GamesRadar UK Podcast Question Box article (posted bi-weekly on the Friday before we record the podcast - this is last week's Question Box).

  • Clovin64 - September 20, 2012 12:22 p.m.

Just dropping by to say MAKE MEIKS A REGULAR HOST! Give him his own section of the podcast dedicated to shit Bane impersonations and Jurassic Park songs. Justin will also finally have someone to share his love of PS Vita! It was great to hear that the old chemistry between you all is still very much alive. Also I agree with the others that should try to get Nate Irvine on sometime. For old times sake?

Good to hear Meiks back again. What I know about the WiiU? It's like having a 'Wii' in your hands, while your friends have a 'Wii' on the TV.

Meikleham! :D Fantastic podcast, just hilarious. To sum up what I know of WiiU? Nintendo Wii 2 - Electric Boogaloo.

Ah, new podcast day, it's always a favourite. Great to see Meiks back, but i'd also like Nathan to return, simply so he can reel cundy back in when he goes a bit too far, they were always my favourite bits of TalkRadar.

Yaaaaaay Meiks! Good to see you again buddy. Come on more often! Everything I know about the WiiU so far: the controller might make a nice place mat? (There's a couple of games I'm interested in, but nothing has sold me on it yet.)
  • ithurtstopoop - September 19, 2012 7:33 a.m.

Yes! Ive missed meiks, especially drunk meiks. Everything I know about wii U? Its too little too late. Sorry ninty
  • danielwstirrat - September 19, 2012 6:52 a.m.

Everything I know about Wii in one sentence: It's like the wii, but with less unnecessary waggling of peripherals and a bloody great screen in the middle of the controller and is Nintendo's attempt to dominate the hardcore market. xx
  • Gazanator101 - September 19, 2012 6:49 a.m.

Wii U: the most family-friendly console there is, because every family should enjoy ZombiU, Black Ops 2, Bayonetta 2, Assassin's Creed 3 together, and oh, did I mention BAYONETTA 2(ARGH!"£$%^&*)?!
  • ShortFuse - September 19, 2012 4:01 a.m.

YAY MEIKS! love the madness so far, just agree with the other poster that Nath needs to come on at some point....! also big thumbs up for singing the raccoons theme tune. Also, thanks for reading out my question last week and I am back from the US travels safely as of last night and am severely jet lagged!
  • Apastron - September 23, 2012 2:36 p.m.

Agreed about The Raccoons. I have it on my MP3 player and love to crank up the volume when listening to it. Is it wrong that I had a bit of a thing for Melissa?
