When I played the PS2 version of Champions of Norrath with my buddy, we got to a part in Act IV of the plot line where we could not advance on to the end of the game in a manner similar to Metroid: Other M. After all we had done, we felt that the game should have been recalled.

What about the steam black ops 2 incident where Black Ops 2 steam copies accidentally had been replaced with mass effect 2 copies?
  • momshotdad - December 14, 2012 9:45 p.m.

I own a copy of the guy game only because I was bored and picked it up at a pawn shop for $3. It's quite a dumb game and I still feel like I got ripped off but the "host" is now on a quite popular internet radio show here in Austin. Here's the link:

I had a friend who owned "The Guy Game." I never played it, but I always wondered exactly what it could have been about. Now I know that it's just illegal pornography! Thanks, Gamesradar!

Neat article highlighting this, some devs just dont know that what they think their doing is harmless turns out to be something entirely different. Being an American Muslim myself, i understand to an extent why they would make such a fuss but i personally didnt mind the verses on Little Big Planet but whatevs. If you guys didnt know already Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has the Allah symbol on the floor of the Saudia Arabia stage, which already called called on.

You forgot the masterpiece known as Limbo of the Lost, which was pulled because almost every background was shamelessly plagiarized from other games without any credit given to the originals.

Under age nudity is not child porn (at least in California). But media depicting sexual acts performed by a minor is. Unless the 17 year old was sucking some guy off, it's not illegal to own. Besides, she was 17 not 7. There's a difference (common sense-wise, anyway).
  • King L0uis II - December 12, 2012 3:58 p.m.

Oh, I firmly against any under-age illicit media by the way. I'm just making a legal argument in case you own the Guy Game, I'm not a Pedder-ass. lol

I'm pretty sure Mind Quiz on the DS got yanked from shelves in the UK because it calls you retarded if you score low enough. And it was too crap to get a reprint too...
  • SuperNewman - December 12, 2012 3:39 p.m.

I've got a release day PS2 copy of GTA San Andreas. I wonder if it will ever be a collector's item...
  • Shadow Of Death - November 14, 2013 4:29 a.m.

Everyone and their mother owns a copy. I own a copy still. If it was an obscure series with limited first printings and a cult following, sure, it might be worth something but it's a multi-million unit selling game, a lot of which contain the hidden code. So, cross your fingers that everyone else' copy manages to spontaneously combust I guess.

I wonder how often games were recalled before the internet
  • taokaka - December 12, 2012 3:24 p.m.

In Australia we have had a recall I don't particularly understand, the game was dead or alive dimensions. The reason was because of the games character model photo mode (aka upskirt shot mode) and the fact that in the japanese version some of the girls are listed as seventeen but don't have an age listed in the Australian version. The problem with the game was it had been labeled PG and now with this sudden realization that some girls were seventeen the board responsible for rating games recalled all copies and then redistributed it with an MA 15+ rating. The moral of the story is it's ok for a child to look up an adults skirt but not a seventeen year olds.

..."If your child is capable enough to download, install, and run a mod to unlock a sex scene in the M-rated game you bought for them, they’ve already seen more porn than you can possibly fathom." I was dying from laughter after that line

Unfortunately though this exact joke isn't from the GR editor.. it's just a copy and paste job from another article not on this website... blatant plaigerism and laziness..
  • GR_LucasSullivan - December 14, 2012 5:05 p.m.

    ??? No.
  • Cloudiology - December 28, 2012 1:09 p.m.

really? was it from an old GR article? cos I have read literally that very sentence written elsewhere... I don't mean to accuse..
  • legoflamb15 - December 12, 2012 1:44 p.m.

"Sony yanked all copies from shelves and replaced them with a new disc sans the sacreligious song" haha "sac"religious...I see what you did there
  • GR_LucasSullivan - December 12, 2012 1:51 p.m.

I wish more than anything that that was an intentional pun
  • wadesmit - December 12, 2012 11:16 p.m.

You did also say "profane balls" which was hilarious too, which says something about the level of my maturity, I think >_>
