Square Enix hasunveileda huge new box set for the Final Fantasy series that encompasses the entire main series. The set will run dedicated Final Fantasy fans a hefty 35,000 Yen, which translates to about $446.
The set includes every game in the main series up to Final Fantasy XIII (including FFXI and all of its expansions.) It will not include the latest game in the series or any of the side story games. Apparently Square Enix doesn't want Dirge of Cerebrus and Final Fantasy XIV interrupting your nostalgia-fest.
The set also includes a number of extras as well, including a "special video" about the series, an art book, a two-disc soundtrack, a code for an item in FFXIV, and a statue of a moogle.
We don't currently know whether Square Enix has any plans to bring this over to the West from Japan. It's a hefty price tag, but this thing would look mighty fine next to the Street Fighter box set we still can't afford.
The set will be shipping December 18, 2012.
