Don't Stop Believin': Everyman's Journey review

Is there anything more boring than happy, wealthy Californian musicians? Searching for a new lead singer, ‘80s soft-rockers Journey eventually discovered Arnel Pineda – a fortysomething Filipino bloke they found singing covers on YouTube.

This is so spectacularly unlikely that it should have made for a hugely uplifting doc – and a fascinating look at some latent prejudice among the band’s US fanbase. Instead, we get a glorified home movie, complete with self-congratulary smugness from the band’s original members.
