Game of Thrones writer signs up for... a Disney remake of Sword In The Stone. Uh oh.

Another day, another animated classic for Disney to remake, with THR reporting that The Sword In The Stone will be the latest title to get a live-action do-over. And intriguingly, the studio has tapped a Game Of Thrones screenwriter to cook up a script. Are we looking at a more adult take on the Disney classic?

Bryan Cogman is the scribe in question, the man responsible for penning last season's controversial episode Unbowed, Unbent, Unbroken. He'll be turning his hand to more family-friendly fare here (probably), to tell the story of the young King Arthur and his wise old mentor, Merlin. So don't expect any controversial rufty (probably).

The new film becomes the tenth (!) remake on Disney's current slate, with the likes of The Jungle Book, Mulan, Pinocchio and Dumbo all in line for an update. No release date has been confirmed as yet.
