Obstacles that are comprised of only one square can be thrown through - here's how. Pick up a character and extend your throw through an obstacle - retract the throw range and press X at the same time. If it doesn't work, you'll just get an error so you can keep trying until you get it right.
To unlock the Dark World, there are five hidden switches in Holt Village that you need to hit.
Switch 1 - Behind the Dark Secretary and Post Master, behind the fallen pillar.
Switch 2 - By Adell's back door.
Switch 3 - Behind Zommie III's house.
Switch 4 - Behind Mario Boy, at the side of the path.
Switch 5 - In the front right corner.
Friday Mk II will appear by the fifth switch. The fourth time you talk to her, she'll challenge you - complete her challenge to gain access to the Dark World.

Hidden Rooms
In the Item World, you may come across some secret rooms. The type of room is selected randomly when you enter, and after you enter one another won't appear for about three more floors.
Hospital - Recover HP/SP and resurrect characters.
Seven Monster Room - If you defeat the seven monsters in two turns, the level of the item your in increases by three.
Treasure Guardian - Beat the guardian to loot his treasure and gain exp.
Treasure - Contains free treasure chests.
Orc Pirates - Contains treasure chests and information on the Pirates.
Equipment Shop - Sells equipment, sometimes rare or legendary.
Cellphone Shop - Sells cellphones.
Bribery Shop - A shop that sells items you can use to bribe Senators.
Mana Potion Shop - Sells Mana potions.
Department Store - Contains several stores: Bribary, Cellphone, Equipment, and Mana Potion.
Scroll Store - Sells weapon scrolls.
Collector - Adds a Collector specialist to your item.
Fortune Teller - Tells your fortune and changes your item's level accordingly.
Shady Bar - If you pay 10,000 Hell or give half of your character's HP, Your bonus gauge will be filled at the start of your next battle.
Axel Ending - Get Defeated by Axel/Akutare
Etna Ending - Defeat Etna in Chapter 3
Laharl Ending - Defeat Laharl in Chapter 11
Proposal Ending 1 - Once you've passed the proposal, "See the ending!", beat Extra Stage 5
Proposal Ending 2 - Pass the proposal, "Pick a fight with an Overlord!" Clear the extra stage.
Middle Boss Ending - Defeat Mid-Boss Before Chapter 4
Tink Ending - Defeat Final Boss with Lvl. 1000 Tink
Bad Ending - Have Adel 10+ Previous Offense, Killed Ally 50+ Times, Then Finish The Game
Worst Ending - Have Adel 99+ Previous Offense, Killed Ally 99+ Times, and Rozalin Formarly Dead
