Deus Ex: Human Revolution trailer looks phenomenal

The first massive trailer for Deus Ex: Human Revolution has arrived - and it's a stunner. Created by Visual Works who are well known for their CG movies for the Final Fantasy series, the new trailer doesn't show any gameplay. But it sure looks pretty. Check it out here:

The art style and setting look superb and we can only guess how many different ways we'll be able to use the protagonists' many bionic abilities. There are hints towards a HUD which lets you see through walls and analyse enemies before they see you, which certainly worked in Batman: Arkham Asylum.

Can it possibly be as good as it looks? Let us know what you think in the comments.

The trailer looks awesome; I can't wait for actual gameplay footage.

So after years of hardly releasing any information about the game, they finally release one of the best game trailers ever! The only thing Im worried about is that the game may be riddled with too many cutscenes and too little gameplay which would contradict everything the original set out to achieve. It especially worries me because it's being developed by square enix. The last thing I want to happen is for it to turn into another FF 13.

Wait, wait, wait. This is supposed to be going on in 2027?? Holy crap if that's the way technology's advancing then forget i-pad, imagine the queue to get the new swiss army machine gun, mind control, helicopter arms?! Jokes aside the trailer does look pretty epic :)

I love the visuals from that trailer and I love the soundtrack that accompanies it. My hair on the back of my neck stood on end!

I have no idea whether or not I'll like this game, but I know for a fact that this is the best video game trailer I've ever seen. It makes me want the game far more than I know I should.

"I never asked for this..." Can the guy just go like - "Robot arms? ROBOT ARMS? AWESOME!! I can punch through walls and ...wait a minute! I can F@#$ing turn INVISIBLE?!!!! I love the future!" - This is the present actually... - Uh.. - We need you to go on a mission. Only you can... - Sure, bur I'm keeping the upgrades afterwards.

Holy shit that looks awesome!!! The setting looks a bit like Mass Effect meets Blade Runner.
  • soccerclownking - June 5, 2010 3:14 p.m.

    *plays well Sorry about that.
  • soccerclownking - June 5, 2010 3:14 p.m.

In my opinion, Deus Ex is one the greatest gaming franchise ever (i'm pretty sure i'm not the only one who thinks this way...) so we can only hope this third installement will be as good as the first one. (dont get me wrong the second one was good, but not as good as the original...!)anyway... Eidos + Sqaure enix cant be bad...!

I'm really diggin' that style, it reminds me so much of Mass Effect that it's creepy but it does look quality. About the video bing CG, I would say that the final game would look at least something close to that. Most games usually now just render cutscenes using in game models but with various filters and what not. This looks great, but what kind of game is it? FPS/RPG/3rd Person shooter hybrid?

I really loved the first two games but I wasn't really looking forward to this one until this trailer. Frik - the setting looks bad ass!
  • DriveShaft - June 5, 2010 1:24 a.m.

If it wasn't a FPS, i would be psyched.
  • Samael - June 4, 2010 11:43 p.m.

Yeah, that was...awesome.(I watched it on youtube, sorry GR, but I'll never watch a trailer like THAT on your video player) Whether or not the game is good, and I really hope it is, that trailer already wins for making me wish news anchors already looked like that and having the best cyborg arm-gun I've ever seen. Also, Spielberg? You know that Ghost In The Shell movie you're supposedly making? Take some hints from this trailer (and from the source material as well, obviously). We'll thank you for it.
  • CommandoDS - June 4, 2010 9:26 p.m.

If the game is even half as good as this trailer the game will be very good.
