Not enough praise points? What? If anything it was TOO easy to become overpowered. I never used typhoons either. Not sure how you got slide 4 mate Hyped for deus

Michael McCann MUST come back... Human Revolution has one of the best game soundtracks I have ever heard. It perfectly sets the mood throughout the entire game. I'm also totally on board with better stealth. It was way too easy to mess up for some stupid reason on human revolution and the boss fight totally throw stealth players off.

As long as Eidos Montreal does a sequel the way it's supposed to be--that is, treading the fine line of keeping the old and loved while introducing new and evolutionary mechanics--I'll be happy as can be. You know what? I loved HR so much, a rehash would be okay with me. But great list, nonetheless. I especially agree about stealth options. It's always my favorite thing to do, and even my favorite type of game thanks to Dishonored, Far Cry 3, and Deus Ex introducing me to robust stealth mechanics. Being able to use, what, two weapons during a whole non-lethal/stealth play through wasn't too fun at times.

I real want Michael McCann back again as well, he made an amazing work with the soundtrack it was amazing and so fitting for the atmosphere and feel of the game.

Human Defiance definitely needs to scrap the boss fights as they kind of go against the approachability of the Deus Ex games.

Agreed with the points. I loved Deus Ex Human Revolution, my review: http://majamaki.com/2011/09/deus-ex-human-revolution/ and the Missing Link DLC, my review: http://majamaki.com/2012/02/deus-ex-the-missing-link-dlc/ and I can't wait for another Deus Ex game. I hope that the same development team is working on the sequel.

It's a movie. First they need to finish Murdered: Soul Suspect, then Thief 4, and then, maybe we will see a new Deus Ex game.

I agree with all of these except bringing Jensen back. If I'm not mistaken, a few of the endings sorta made that impossible.

What he said about the shooting being easier than the stealth is utter nonsense. The stealth is the far more viable option in Human Revolution. I think some of the augmentations made the stealth too easy. Asking for more of that kind of stuff would just discourage any attempt to shoot at all.

For me it was the opposite. Putting any points into damage reduction made you basically immune to bullets. My stealth playthrough took me way longer to finish.
  • Bloodstorm - March 2, 2013 7:36 a.m.

I played more stealth, but mixed it with gunning, sneaking around and taking people out from cover with my suppressed weapons. I felt the game let you craft your way to play pretty well.
  • Child Of Death - March 2, 2013 2:41 p.m.

Stealth for me was useless against the bosses.
  • Bloodstorm - March 2, 2013 2:45 p.m.

Well, can't argue against that, but then everything was useless against the bosses. You just had to grit your teeth and wish for the best.

i really really want this to be the next mass effect for me, with really rich lore and inter-game consequences, except this will hopefully be better and feel more organic since choices will be dictated by gameplay actions instead of dialogue sequences and the story won't be as black and white in the way it treats good and evil. combat also needs a bit of work too: cover system feels a bit too stiff, and there really isn't enough incentive to play with an action shooter mindset (ammo is way too scarce)
  • ZeeCaptain - March 2, 2013 2:27 a.m.

I don't know about the next mass effect, those two games are a bit too different, as for the combat I agree, but the cover system felt bad would probably be because square doesn't make too many games that use a cover system besides hitman and the new tomb raider, i'd rather they get rid of the cover and go retro.

"Include more obvious tie-ins to other Deus Ex games, especially older games" That as a sentence makes no sense, unless there's more than one modern Deus Ex game I don't know about. Do you mean "especially TO THE older games?" Or more especially "to the original"?

Is anybody else having the a problem where every 4th slide dosent show up or its just me?
  • FOZ - March 1, 2013 1:18 p.m.

It's "I never asked for this." It took me 2-3 playthroughs to find them, but there are quite a few references and ties to Deus Ex. Numerous emails from Manderley connecting him to the conspiracy, Adam's backstory, and that Picus has the same symbol as MJ-12. Seemed like just the right amount to me. What I wanted was more overt connections. I think the game's length is appropriate, but the story feels like it was sliced in half and had the ending tacked on with obvious hints threaded throughout, so they would still have room for another prequel to connect to Deus Ex.

I would like a Deus Ex remake, but from Jensens perspective or along the timeline of the original.
