THQ has resurrected a new teaser
trailer for Darksiders II. It may not offer as many whiz-bang
gameplay scenes as the announcement trailer that preceded it, but where it
lacks in detail, it more than makes up for in moody music, gravelly
voiceovers, and crafty slogans. Meet the horseman who will finish
what War started next summer in the latest Darksiders II video:
during the events of the original, Darksiders II will follow Death as
he traverses brand new locations in search of evidence that will acquit
his brother War for the crime of ending the world. The
second horseman in the apocalypse family will play as a faster and
more fluid character than War, and will have access to a deeper skill
and ability customization system.
this year, developer Vigil Games confirmed Darksiders II will once
again be a strictly single-player adventure. Not that Vigil wouldn't
love to add multiplayer, just that the studio hasn't been able to
find the time and resources to implement it properly. In an interview
with IGN, director Marvin Donald said he hopes the next sequel will
at least include co-op, but added, “It just
depends on the resources that are available, the size of the budget
and whether or not Darksiders II does well. There are a lot of
factors that are going to drive that. It's too soon to say."
II has been confirmed for release next summer for PS3, Xbox 360, and
PC. It will also looks like it will appear as a launch title for Wii U.
