Planning to ride with Death when Darksiders II arrives this June? Plan ahead and you'll be striding into Virgil Games' sequel with a few extra perks. THQ today revealed its early list of pre-order incentives, and depending where you shop, there's some free treasures, side-quests, and character upgrades to be had.
As listed on the Darksiders II community page, those who pre-order from GameStop will receive the “Death Rides” Pack featuring exclusive (read: future DLC) side quests in and around the Maker's Realm and Dead Plains, as well as the opportunity to hunt down a special treasure on behalf of an ancient Construct. Meanwhile, buying early from Best Buy will net players an “Angel of Death” pack with upgraded armor, stylish scythes, and an “exclusive purple colored visual trail” for Death's crow. Lastly, reserving at Amazon will give players the chance to speed up Death's horse with a “Deadly Despair” Pack.
Obviously, Best Buy's purple crow trail is biggest incentive to reserve Darksiders II, but let us know if any of these other incentives peak your interest.
