Glad to hear that the new engine will make the game a bit more stable. Some areas, particularly the swamp in blight town was god damn awful for framerate. Hopefully they'll do a better job with PC development this time as well. Said it on the previous article as well but I love the direction they're going with movement animations and attack / dodging. Feels more fluid like with demons souls. Either way it's shaping up to be pretty damn awesome!

I don't think any fans of dark souls need to worry about this. Looks like more of the same. A good thing.

Competition is always good for the consumer, even if it's a rip off (as of now it looks that way), it could have interesting features that could wide the appeal of this genre.

Very sorry I misread the headline and thought this was an article of Deep Down, which also had a demo. My bad. :p

Praise the Sun! The sequel looks fantastic!

I am so excited for this, I can't wait. I'm going to get a new ps3 slim (est) for this since my fat one broke (noticed shooting off color graphical fuck ups while running around in Anor Lando actually). Particularly exited for the new suspenseful environments, gives me more chances to soak in the scenery. Unlike blight town. Seriously, fuck blighttown.

Huh, I honestly don't remember ever struggling with framerate issues in the previous games, but it's still nice to hear that that's being improve on, as well as with the animations in general. I voiced a few of my concerns in the previous article, but overall, this looks much better than what I expected after the new creative director started spouting blasphemy about making the game more "accesible". That demo so far makes one thing that he probably, and thankfully, reconsidered his own words XD

Aye, I'm curious to see what comes out of the accessibility front. Honestly, I think it'll mostly just involve a more tutorial-ish opening and perhaps more in-game info regarding things like multiplayer and the Covenant system.

That I am okay with, because to be fair, the whole covenant system WAS terribly explained on the first game, not that I cared much about at all to begin with, but still... what I REALLY want to know though, is who's gonna be the next item horading crow!? Fir we had sparkly, and then snuggly, what's next!? Stoney the crow? XD

It looks amazing so far - can't wait! I especially liked the subtle differences such as the more visible target lock-on and the enemy health bars.
