I think it is insulting to the dreamcast console to have soul calibur as number one on this list, perhaps top ten but to not even have shemnue 2 on this list is ridiculous. Who does these lists?!

marvel vs capcom on playstation was a very good port. i do not agree when sayed that was butchered. the psx port is equal to dreamcast, but without the tag mode.

Toy Commander isn't even in the top 50? Very disappointing.

Reading this list actually made my mouth water. Not even kidding.

I recently attempted to play Shenmu. And all I can say is, wow, that game did not hold up very well over the years.

This game came out at the end of the system's lifespan but it was incredibly fun and what I think is the only Diablo-like game for it... Record Of Lodoss War. Great game, only knock against it was the SOUND OF MY SHOES!!!! How could you guys have missed this? Skies Of Arcadia would have been on my top 10 JRPGs of all time list if it wasn't for the insane amount of random battles. Take a step - fight. Take another step - fight. Take ano - fight. And still, it was so memorable and one of the few JRPGs that I actually sat glued in front of the TV for, every single day, without touching another game, until I beat it. Still, the amount of random battles soured the experience a tiny bit and made it so I will never ever play it again (not even the GC version which I hear is a little better but still ridiculous). And with the 50 games you've listed, it seems like you've listed them all! It didn't have a large library, but it was sweet. We love you, Dreamcast!

No D2, Headhunter, Samba De Amigo, Grandia II, Rez, Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation. Great system, long live Dreamcast

Needs some D2 up in here

I feel like I've said this before but Toy Commander deserves a spot on this list.

I forgot to mention how Tony Hawk's Pro Skater isn't on here? Awesome game with some sweet tracks.
  • thejaguar9 - March 7, 2014 2:41 p.m.

    It is on the list

I like this list but Zombie Revenge was one of the best games. It was difficult and had dat co op and was great. I also remember some fighting game set in the Spawn universe. I don't remember if that game was good but I remember having fun. SA and SA2 will go down as my favorite games ever though but with the Dreamcast there are so many great options.

Dreamcast is my favourite console of all time and I own a lot of these games! Shenmue is so awesome, it was the most spectacular game ever back in the day! Good times :')

This Burning Rangers? I played that almost as much as PSO...even though I had a PS1

Solid list. I can agree with this, even if there are a few others I really liked, this was pretty much the standard set of games every DC owner should have by now.

I love this list. Personally, I would have moved Jet Set Radio a BIT higher up the list (I actually thought it would be number 1, because to me, that is the *quintessential* Dreamcast game. It's almost like the Dreamcast itself, really.) But no mention of MDK2 or MSR? Or Floigan Brothers? Or Cannon Spike? The beat-em-up that featured so many random Capcom characters? Or Capcom Vs SNK, which featured crossover play with the Neo-Geo Pocket Color version?! Gotta admit, Demolition Racer: No Exit was a guilty pleasure. It was a "meh" game, but you could totally t-bone your opponents and make their cars EXPLODE by jumping down on them from ramps. Also, Tony Hawk 2, Super Magnetic Neo, Sword of the Berserk, Wacky Races, and Virtual-On. DAMMIT, why couldn't the Dreamcast have had even HALF of the PS2's lifespan??

For how short lived this system was there sure were a lot of great games! May have to go dust this puppy off sometime soon.
