The Battle of Dunkirk was one of Great Britain's most important moments of World War 2 - with hundreds of thousands of Allied forces stranded on the beaches of France, it took more than a week to evacuate the men and bring them home. And this summer, director Christopher Nolan will take audiences to that famous beach with his film, simply titled "Dunkirk."
I admit that as someone who's always lived in the US, I didn't know much about Dunkirk (the place) until people started talking about Dunkirk (the movie). It seems like a fantastic tale, and this trailer makes me excited to learn more about the brave souls who fought and died for each other. Hopefully a few of my fellow Americans feel the same when it comes out.
