Nothing is perfect. Everything is flawed. Your favorite game? My favorite game? GamesRadar’s best games of all time? In some way, either small and very specific or immense and impossible to ignore, they ALL suck.

To prove that point for our 4th Annual Week of Hate – the magical time each year when we wholeheartedly celebrate our cynicism – I’ve compiled a list of 55 fantastic games and game franchises, then focused only on what they did wrong. These are such glaring weaknesses and obvious missteps, in fact, that I’m confident you can recognize most if not all of them through a single symbolic image – no text necessary. Once you’ve tested your aptitude for hatred, keep it going in the comments by posting your own personal pet peeves.

    @Catrparrot Launch Octopus from Megeman X, damn that's hate going way back...lol he really was hard though, even with his weakness...

    Shao Kahn was a cunt at the end of the Mortal Kombat(2011) story mode. I had to turn it off he made me so mad how he powers through your combos without flinching and does 2x the damage...holy shit.

    Lasty, Whitney's Miltank from Pokemon Gold & Silver IS fuckin ridiculous. You almost need your starter to be 3rd stage if she keeps using rollout. just hope she uses pound instead....

    The sound the Conversion gel pipe makes during the lemons rant in Portal 2. I couldn't figure it out so I was walking around for the longest time listening to that damn noise through my headphones and it drove me insane. It only bothered me during that one section, though.

    I wish they could have somehow added a reference to all the 12 year olds spouting homophobic and racist garbage over Live and PSN. Seriously, it's to the point now where most games I play have only 1 or 2 people who use the mic anymore. Everyone's in party chat or nothing at all because they are so tired of dealing with immaturity.

    @oneshotfinch: Portal 2 doesn't have a four hour campaign. I've been playing this game in single player for about 9 hours now (and I'm solving the puzzles pretty quickly at that) and I'm only about 75% done with it. Also I've been playing the co-op campaign for about 5 hours now and I'm not done with that either.

    While the hairstyles of Final Fantasy are cringe-worthy, what about that scene in FFX where Tidus and Yuna are trying to laugh? Yikes.

    Seth is the least of the things to hate in SFIV. A bigger sticking point is how winning in the game involves holding down+back, alot.

    Wait, did someone compare Portal 2 to Modern Warfare 2?

    Portal 2 is much more elegant in its dialogue, has a more concise and interesting story, has a greater focus on fewer characters, has developer commentary, co-op mode, easter eggs, some of the best direction in any game, unique gameplay mechanics that are seen in no other series, and incentive that provides players with a reason to play through again to try out new tricks. And I don't have to pay twice for the game's content by the time they finish releasing DLC for the game.

    People didn't criticized MW2 for being four hours, they criticized it for being a trashy game with a four hour campaign.

    And Portal 2 was absolutely NOT a four hour game. Portal was closer to a four hour game. If you're basing it on abnormal people who are able to do it at an insane pace, maybe, but the basis is on the norm, which is more like nine-12 hours.

    QUOTE: Oh you sad console gamers. I laugh at your Portal 2 load times. Each one aside from the main screen takes roughly 2-3 seconds to load up for me.

    It's the fact that it HAS load times to begin with. All of Valve's other games didn't, when I first saw the load screen in Portal 2 (on PC mind you) it was jarring. It's what I expected from everyone else, but not Valve. Basically, regardless of how long it takes to load on any console, it's the fact that it has load screens is the reason people hate it.

    Okami is a great game that sold poorly, Cabela is a horrible game that sold well.
