Games industry trade body UK Interactive Entertainment and retail monitor GfK Chart-Track have released a list of the UK's 100 best-selling packaged games of 2012.
The retail sales chart is dominated by sequels and annual franchise updates; in terms of 2012 releases, just five new IPs charted, the highest pair being Sleeping Dogs at No.20 and Dishonored at No.24.
Topping the chart, which was published on MCV, are Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 and FIFA 13, the only two games to sell over one million physical copies in the UK last year, compared to five in 2011 (The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Zumba Fitness, FIFA 12, Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3).

Last week, North American sales monitor NPD revealed the ten best-selling retail games of 2012, with Black Ops 2 once again emerging on top.
2013 looks set to be a particularly interesting year for games; there are plenty of high-profile releases due in the next few months, then there’s the expected launch of next-gen consoles, and hopefully an exciting Wii U holiday lineup in which Nintendo brings out its big-hitters.
