Weekend Spent: Oct 13 - 14 - Are you playing The Walking Dead?

Cooper: After hearing everyone freak out about how good the last two episodes of The Walking Dead have been I think I’m going to have to bite the bullet and dive back in. Sadly, this means potentially replaying the last two since I lost my save (the horror, the horror), but I figure it’s a small price to pay for being able to talk to everyone about how great Telltale’s game series has become.

Henry: Too many games, no time to play them. Both XCOM and Dishonored are tantalizing potential weekend wasters, but before I jump onto either of those I’ll finally start up The Walking Dead. I’m a huge fan of the comic, but I’d been saving the series till now in hopes of marathoning the episodic game. Though from what I’ve heard about the game’s intensity, I’m not sure my heart can take all four chapters in one day.

Sophia: The Walking Dead game is soo good, I think I will play it again this weekend. I wish Cooper and everyone else would just play it already so we can discuss. GET ON IT.

Sterling: Can we just go ahead and call it a Walking Dead weekend? Outside of something else I absolutely, positively can’t talk about that I’m reviewing, I’ve been thinking a lot about the events of Episode Three and just how jarring it was. Part of me can’t prepare for how much more sucker punched I can get, but we’re going to find out. I don’t think I’ve had one of those “Psst! Go outside and let’s talk about what choices you made” moments since Heavy Rain, and if Telltale keeps this intensity up, I imagine it will culminate in a Game of the Year contender for me.

Lucas: History has been made: I actually finished a game I set out to play during the previous Weekend Spent (Sanitarium, which I highly recommend to adventure game aficionados). I hope to keep the completion streak going by taking a stab at Far Cry 2, mixed with playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 multiplayer and feeling bad about myself when I can’t win a single match.

Tom: People are telling me that Dishonored is awesome. Amazing. Totally radical to the power of bodacious. I’m being told these things, but basically all of these people? As of now, they’re liars. Or bad at their job. Or something, because I’m an hour in, and this game’s putting me to sleep. This weekend, I’ll be returning to Dishonored--not because I want to, but because right now, I’m increasingly convinced the world has gone mad.

Lorenzo: It looks like I may have another weekend full of undead monsters trying to bite my face off. I’m (slowly, but surely) chugging along with Resident Evil 6, but I’m thinking it’s about time I catch up with the last two episodes of Telltale’s The Walking Dead. Then there’s XCOM: Enemy Unknown and its enticing tactical awesomeness to consider too. I really don’t know what I’m going to do. There are so many games!

Brian: This weekend will be spent playing Dishonored and living vicariously through Corvo Attano. I mean, who wouldn’t want to be an assassin? Speaking of which, there are only three days left in our Dishonored Sweepstakes, which would make you one step closer to actually being an assassin. Sort of.
