The Weinsteins are returning to Miramax, thanks to a new deal struck between Colony Capital, Qatar Holding and the Weinstein Company, with sequels planned for Shakespeare In Love and Rounders .

Qatar Holding and Colony Capital purchased the entirety of the Miramax library back in 2010 for close to $660 million, and are now looking to start creating original content off the back of those properties.

That's where the Weinsteins come in, with Harvey and Bob returning to their old stomping ground to help develop new creative directions for the properties they left behind.

Kicking things off will be big screen sequels for the aforementioned features, while Good Will Hunting is also slated for a television adaptation.

"It’s like unlocking a kingdom full of gold," says Harvey Weinstein of the agreement. "There is so much intellectual property, and we’re in an age where, for however long it lasts, content is king."

"I’ve discussed making Rounders 2 with Matt Damon and I would say that’s going to be instantaneous," he continued.

"There might be a certain beautiful Parisian actress involved in it, and then we’re off to the racetrack and Vegas with Matty and Edward Norton, and a new supervillain to replace John Malkovich."
