Rumour: Female villain for Star Wars: Episode VII?

Some fresh Star Wars: Episode VII rumours have popped up online this morning, with Latino Review claiming to have the inside track on some key plot details.

Their first big scoop is that the film will pit the heroes against at least one female villain, who may or may not be a Sith.

With Daisy Ridley, Gwendoline Christie and Lupita Nyong'o all officially on board, any one of the three could be the villain in question, although our hunch is that it's one of the latter two…

The report also goes on to claim that John Boyega's character will not start the film as either a Jedi or Padawan, but will boast a "story arc that brings him into Star Wars ’ greater universe". Make of that what you will…

Directed by J.J. Abrams and co-starring Adam Driver, Harrison Ford and Oscar Isaac, Star Wars: Episode VII will open in the UK on 18 December 2015.
