Quantic Dream hiring for multiplayer programmer

Quantic Dream, the studio behind Heavy Rain and Beyond: Two Souls, is looking for a lead online programmer with experience in AAA multiplayer. Kotaku spotted a job opening on the studio's website, which indicates the solitary-narrative-pushing developer may be looking to expand its horizons:

"The ideal candidate has been working as a lead programmer on a multiplayer title for the past 6 years and have a strong understanding of the multiplayer genre; Must have shipped a multiplayer AAA title before," the listing reads.

Kotaku further pointed out a 2010 interview with studio founder David Cage, in which he said he wants his studio to "try to bring to multiplayer experiences the same change that Heavy Rain was to single-player." Whatever it is, it won't be "like World of Warcraft."

We don't expect Beyond: Two Souls to have any sort of unannounced multiplayer, since we've seen a good chunk of the game already. But who knows, Quantic Dream's mysterious next-generation project called Singularity may not be so Singular, after all.

Connor has been doing news and feature things for GamesRadar+ since 2012, which is suddenly a long time ago. How on earth did that happen?
