Happy 10th birthday, Shadow of the Colossus - here's a game that looks just like you

Shadow of the Colossus turned 10 years old yesterday (in North America, at least), but it's you that's getting a colossus-sized present: meet Prey for the Gods, a PC game that, if it were any more like Team Ico's classic, would probably be sequestered in a court of law for copyright infringement.

On the game's official website, a description for Prey for the Gods reads, "In Prey for the Gods, you play a lone hero sent to the edge of a dying world to discover the mystery behind a never-ending winter. Arriving with only the clothes on your back, you must survive the colossal dangers that you encounter." (Emphasis mine.) As for the team, they describe themselves thusly: "No Matter Studios is comprised of three lone developers working in the evening hours to create the game they’ve always wanted. With the simple goal to create colossal moments we’ve set forth on our labor of love Prey for the Gods."

As cool as it looks - and it does look very cool - I'd be wary about getting over-excited. With just one monster to show, no release window and the dev team consisting of three members, Prey for the Gods seems ripe for a crowdfunding campaign. Not that those are necessarily bad, mind you - just be aware that they come with risks. Cautious optimism it is, then.
