Destiny: Xur weapons, gear, and location, June 10 - 12. Red Death!

Xur, Destiny’s weekend trader, mindful meditation enthusiast, and seven-time under-fives slingshot archery champion, is back. He’s over in the Tower Hangar, pretending to be injured by incoming ships in order to deal valuable life lessons about safe flying in built-up areas. But aside from the tools to be a better person, what else is he selling?

Well it’s pretty good overall. He’s selling this lot:

• The Ram – Exotic Warlock helmet- 13 Strange Coins
• Don't Touch Me – Exotic Hunter gauntlets -13 Strange Coins
• The Glasshouse – Exotic Titan Helmet - 13 Strange Coins
• Red Death - Exotic Auto Rifle – 23 Strange Coins
• Legacy Engram (Special weapon) - 31 Strange Coins
• Three of Coins – 7 Strange Coins
• Glass Needle – 3 Strange Coins

First up, The Ram is a deceptively excellent helmet. It grants the health- leeching Life Steal melee for free, not only on charged hits but on every single melee attack you put out. That means that you can skip the usual 'one or the other' choice and also equip Soul Rip, and Embrace the Void, and charge everything at the same time.

Titans do pretty well too, this week. The Glasshouse isn't an OMG mind-blowing helmet, but it does increase the duration of both Blessing of Light and Weapons of Light, meaning entirely healthier buffs for all. Either of those two perkscan be the difference between victory and wipe in a tough spot, so boosting them is actually quite a big deal. Hunters though, just get Don't Touch me, which makes you invisible upon taking a melee hit. Decent for crowded Hive runs, and if you're still cheesing Crota, but otherwise not really worth the slot.

Things get very exciting again though, when we hit this week's gun. Because Red Death is on sale, and Red Death is a beast. Every kill you make heals you up and speeds your reload, meaning that the next kill is probably going to come along even faster. It has Unflinching, which makes it easier to aim under fire. You can select High Caliber Rounds for it. It's a monster. An angry, aggressive monster that just will not stop killing. It's recommended.

As per ever, Xur will be around until 2am PT / 10am UK, at which point he'll be gone forever. Or another week. Either is possible. But the latter is more probable.
