Cracked infographic takes a shot at FPS cliches

Virtual soldiers have been waging digital warfare for some time now, so it's only natural that some of the umpteen thousands of games dedicated to modern warfare are starting to feel a little similar. Agree? Disagree? Criticizing one genre for its cliches may be a tad unfair considering 99.97% of modern games are a melting pot of repurposed plot points, themes and game mechanics. Still, Cracked does make a few points, even if most of the infographic takes a birds eye view at the genre.

Maybe it's time to start trying something new like making a game about war in space? With marines. And lasers. Just a thought.
