We all have a serious weakness for Unreal 4 recreations of our favourite games. There was that perfect Unreal version of the first stage of Spyro The Dragon, then the gorgeous Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time video and even GoldenEye 007 got in on the action. And now, in the 20th year of all things Pikachu and Snorlax shaped, professional 3D artist Jarlan Perez has built a recreation of how Ash Ketchum's bedroom from Pokemon would look, complete with Pokeball duvet cover.
There's plenty of details in there - the room is of course complete with gym badges and Ash's trademark red hat - and Perez is happy to have added a more technologically advanced version of the Pokedex. "I really enjoyed working on the reimagining of the Pokedex on a laptop. I spent a good amount of time trying to figure out the best layout to display all the information in a pleasing and well thought out manner," he tells me. "I took some creative liberties mostly by combining different points in time into one. I hoped that I did not anger the purists out there but so far it seems to be very positively taken." View it in all its glory below.
