A geriatric Swede (Robert Gustafsson) looks back on his life as he embarks on another adventure in a Scandi-com that feels like Nordic noir crossed with Forrest Gump .

Flashbacks in which his younger self rubs shoulders with Franco and Reagan recall the latter, although their chief role is to punctuate a shaggy-dog story in which our hero escapes from an old people’s home on his 100th birthday with stolen mob moolah.

Alan Ford adds to the wackiness in a film that might not always make sense, but is never dull.
