We’re still waiting for Resident Evil 6, but in the meantime we have more than enough T-Virus created zombies for the foreseeable future. That includes the alternate take on RE2, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City, where players control a squad of Umbrella special ops out to clean up Raccoon City of zombies, living witnesses, and rookie cops like Leon Kennedy. Today’s trailer is full of new info, not the least of which is the release date.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City comes out March 20 next year on PS3 and 360 (with PC coming at a later date), keeping with Capcom’s tradition of spring releases for its biggest titles. As for the rest of the trailer, though we should have expected it from the outset, it’s great to see Claire Redfield appear alongside Leon, though we’ll be sad if she dies just as Leon did in the first trailer for the game. Also inevitable but appreciated is the involvement of Nemesis, who’s trench coat and bazooka will no doubt be haunting us throughout all Raccoon City. The game hits European retailers March 23.
