Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has promised a brand new big game will be announced at E3, which Nintendo intends to release in time for Christmas this year.
Speaking toGame Trailers TV, Reggie stated that the line-up for the second half of 2008 had yet to be announced, but things would be changing soon. "There's gonna be a big game for the holiday that gamers will want," he said.
"All I can tell you is what we announce during E3 is gonna be fantastic. The gamer is gonna be excited and the expanded audience is gonna be excited."
Reggie declined to comment any further, specifically on speculation that it's a new Donkey Kong game for Wii.
During the same interview, Reggie spoke briefly about Wii Orchestra. "We were just in Japan, we saw a sneak peak as to how that's developing, it's looking great", he said.
"So who knows - maybe that's one of the things we'll talk about at E3." Somehow, we doubt that Wii Orchestra is the major new game was previously referring to, but Nintendo's done stranger things.
