Narnia sequel is on

Given The Chronicles Of Narnia’s huge success with The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe, it was only a matter of time before the sequel came thundering out of Disney’s own production wardrobe. And the next instalment has been officially greenlit for a Christmas 2007 release.

We recently told you that the company was considering Prince Caspian as the next film in the series. And like one of Aslan’s predictions, it has come to pass. The Chronicles Of Narnia: Prince Caspian is on, with Wardrobe director Andrew Adamson back calling the shots. With the franchise’s first outing snatching almost $640 million at the global box office and on course to topple Pirates Of The Caribbean’s $655 million haul to become Disney’s biggest live-action release ever, Caspian’s green-light was a foregone conclusion.
