Turbine announced today that they have elected to delay the upcoming expansion to their long-running MMO,Lord of the Rings Online: Riders of Rohan.
They said that following a lengthy beta test, users found more issues than expected, and they have elected to hold the game back by a month until the problems can be resolved. The delay isn't too ridiculous though, and it will only hold back the expansion by a little over a month. It was originally planned to arrive on September 5th, and will now release October 15th.
Turbine offered some consolation for eager fans who pre-ordered the expansion, giving them 500 Turbine points to spend in the LotRO in-game store (probably on noble steeds) and a "bag of consumable goodies." In the past, LotRO "bags of consumable goodies" has meant unique sets of armor, XP boosts, and other fun stuff like fireworks displays.
You can check out the latest trailer for the expansion here which shows off the mounted combat feature along with the new "warbands" which are being introduced.
