Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes has added another stellar name to its steadily growing cast list, with Keri Russell the latest to join the production.
She follows the recent additions of Jason Clarke, Kodi-Smit McPhee and Gary Oldman to the sequel, all of whom will be joined by the returning Andy Serkis.
We’ve no idea as to who Russell will be playing, although we do know that at least part of the film will focus upon a group of scientists struggling to survive in an LA 15 years after the events of the first film.
That pesky human-felling flu has spread like wildfire you see, allowing the apes to become the dominant species. However, it’s not all smiles for lead ape Caesar, who faces a struggle to remain on top of the pile.
Directed by Matt Reeves, who came aboard to replace original helmer Rupert Wyatt, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes will open in the UK on 23 May 2014.
