In Marvelous' new browser game, which essentially translates to "Battle Vixens: Legend of the Huge Tits Struggle," the player manages of a group of high school students known as the “Huge Tits Champions.” The goal is to unify the school in which the game takes place by teaming up with other players...

Battle Vixens is based on a popular anime and manga that features busty teenage girls fighting with the spirits from the ancient Chinese epic, Romance of the Three Kingdoms. The explicit references to breasts in the game's title follow in the tradition of the source material.

Say the words 'breasts' and 'anime,' and what's the first game genre that pops in to your head? Whatever it was, it's not the same as Battle Vixens, which is inexplicably a management sim that tasks the player with running the school andits aforementioned voluptuous teenagers.

We can't help but wonder whether Huge Tits Struggle is a refreshing dose of honesty, in an industry filled with games that use sex to sell but hold a proverbial fig leaf over theirintentions (see Dead or Alive or Bayonetta) or the lowest rung on a ladder before descending into blatant pornography. Whatever it is, Japanese game makers have yet to alienate their audience.
