Avengers: Infinity War is being filmed with the utmost dedication to secrecy. That's good for us fans who don't want to be spoiled, but it can lead to awkward situations for the actors involved. Case in point: there is a scene in the movie where Tom Holland fights someone, but even he doesn't know who.
And this isn't some hypothetical, "they'll tell him on the day they film it" situation; the scene has already been shot, and Holland still has no idea who he was battling. Speaking to the BBC, he recounted the strange working conditions.
"They're like, 'Well, you're fighting this person.' 'What does he look like?' 'Well, we can't tell you because if we tell you, you'll know who it is.' 'Yeah, but what does he sound like?' 'We can't tell you that, because that would give away who he is.' I'm trying to act with a tennis ball and I don't know what the person looks like."
It sounds like a stressful environment, but Holland seems like the type to not let it bother him. Now for the internet to do its thing and start speculating as to who the mystery punchee could be. The obvious guess is Thanos (due to him being the main villain and a CG character), but there's also the possibility of his henchmen or even a hero turned against their friends. Let's see what you think.
Meanwhile, ol' webhead is just days away from his first solo film, Spider-Man: Homecoming, which we thought was pretty good. Hope you're ready to see plenty more of Tom Holland though, because he's signed on for at least four more MCU movies.
