Ah, Thanksgiving. A time for food, family, humility, and here in the States, the spectacle of watching large men hurl themselves into each other as they fight across 100 yards of astroturf. Rockstar has decided to get in on the holiday spirit with a new Adversary mode in GTA Online, which seeks to emulate American football - albeit with a very GTA-flavored twist, where the players are cars (and not simply car-sized men).
Here's how it works: Two teams of 2-4 players each set up their vehicles on opposite sides of a bridge or tunnel. One player will be the "Runner," in an ultra-compact car. Most players will be in dune buggies, and their job is to either block the Runner from their goal or to run interference to help the Runner reach the goal.
Rockstar dubs this new mode Running Back, and it's playable now at Raton Canyon Bridge, La Mesa Bridge and Zancudo Tunnel. Happy pummeling!
