Serious Sam: Shatterverse takes Sam to the multiverse with an exclusive look at even more Doom-like arcade FPS carnage in a new trailer
Let's get Serious, Sams
Serious Sam: Shatterverse gets a new trailer at the Future Games Show at Gamescom, showing off even more of its high-octane co-op roguelite shooter chaos.
Dead By Daylight developer Behaviour Interactive's latest title sees the return of Sam "Serious" Stone in multiversal mayhem. Fractured as a result of Uber Mental's schemes, the multiverse can be freely traveled, which means there are even more Serious Sams for prime Sam Stone to team up with.
You and up to four other players can team up and blast your way through varied universes, each playing as a different Sam from the Serious Program. There's Orphan Sam, who can unleash a portal of shredding buzzsaws on enemies; Retro Sam who can set up decoys to distract enemies; and Alien Sam who, thanks to his four arms, can quad-wield guns for maximum firepower.
During each multiversal run, you and your Sams will collect all sorts of boons, wield a selection of destructive tools to fight Mental's forces (this includes high-caliber pistols, miniguns, high-tech weapons, and everything in between) , and can unlock run modifiers to change the game. Power-up enough and you'll be able to bring down Mental's five lieutenants one by one. Just remember that death isn't the end.
You can play Serious Sam: Shatterverse on PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam from August 31, which is pretty soon! Make sure you get it on your wishlist of choice and follow the game and the developers at Behaviour Interactive on socials to stay in the know.
