Forza Horizon 6 isn't even out yet, but players are already modding it on PC with Tokyo Drift references, quality-of-life changes, and more

Despite not being available officially for another day, players are already modding Forza Horizon 6 on PC.

Forza Horizon 6's PC version leaked in full earlier this week, allowing folks to start playing the game over a week before its release on May 19 (and days before its early access launch on May 15). So, outside of those who you would typically expect to be playing the game at the moment – be that reviewers or Microsoft staff – there's a large number of people driving through Japan as we speak in-game. Playground Games confirmed the leak and threatened "franchise-wide and hardware bans" for players accessing this build, but of course that hasn't stopped people.

But not only are people playing the early build, some have gone a step further and have published mods for the game before it's even released. As spotted by The Gamer, the Nexus Mods page for Forza Horizon 6 is beginning to populate with mods for the upcoming open-world driving game.

So far, there's nothing that massively overhauls the game, but a roster of quality-of-life improvements for the title such as the ability to disable HUD elements, replace the Xbox icons with PlayStation, and the ability to skip the game's training.

However, the other mod available is arguably the most important, as it replaces the intro video and music to the game with the title theme to The Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, which, given the game is set in Japan and features street racing, was inevitable.
