New multiplayer FPS Active Matter is "multidimensional combat at its finest"
Watch out for the Active Matter

Active Matter, which drops sometime in 2026, is an FPS that's doing things a bit differently.
Speaking as part of FGS Best of Gamescom, Sebastian Thomas, Community Manager at Gaijin Network, said that Active Matter is "multidimensional combat at its finest".
"Picture this, you're a lone solider sifting through the ruins of a world that was shattered by a quantum catastrophe. Mind bending anomalies twist gravity and space topology right before your very eyes."
In the game, players are fighting for a resource called Active Matter - aka the title of the game. It's the thing that makes the enemies how they are, but can also affect your fellow operatives and turn them into monsters too.
Thomas speaks a lot about the flanking, and because of how the game works, enemies can come at you from all angles - literally on the ceilings or walls in this gravity-bending shooter.
"Active Matter is set in a shattered multiverse where different timelines and parallel worlds are actually a core part of the gameplay and the story," adds Thomas.
However, despite how trippy things might get, you'll still have access to a realistic arsenal that's based on weaponry across various different military technologies.
You can wishlist it now on Steam, but if you want to get it earlier, head over to the official website to pre-order and get advanced access.
