Papa Needs a Headshot is a great name for a game that's basically a western-steampunk Bioshock FPS
Would you kindly, cowboy?
Papa Needs a Headshot just debuted a new gameplay trailer at the Future Games Show Spring Showcase Powered by HyperX and it's exactly as brilliantly chaotic as the name suggests.
In this brutal Western-steampunk FPS, you play as a cowboy of sorts with a cursed metal arm that lets you yank enemies into the air without even touching them or release devastating shockwaves to really cause some havoc.
But in Bioshock style, your arm also gives you the option of unleashing fire or ice to stop your attackers in their tracks, as you can see in the new trailer above.
It's a revenge story at heart, but in between looking for "the man who made you", you're going to have to take on a lot of what the game simply calls freaks.
With touches of Resident Evil in its grotesque boss design, this is a game that's going to ask you to shed a lot of blood and bullet casings.
I also like the fact that it lets you play with the environment too, with this new trailer showing off a moment where a wooden structure is shot out to release large barrels that squash the freaks as they roll past.
It's certainly not going to be a quiet one, that's for sure.
Papa Needs a Headshot is dropping on PC and PS5 at some point later this year. But while we wait for a release date, you can wishlist it right now on Steam to stay up to date.
