The Boys season 5 might just well spell the end for A-Train – and, in a new interview, actor Jessie T. Usher seems to imply that his demise will come at the hands of none other than Homelander.
"I saw the end coming long before it came and I was glad that I had an aired-out, isolated moment with Antony [Starr, who plays Homelander]," Usher told ABS-CBN News. "He's like a person who I've built a lot of the driving force of what motivated this character or changed this character. I was happy that we were able to end it in a moment that was shared just between us."
The last time we saw Reggie, AKA A-Train, in the Gen V season 2 ending, he'd abandoned his Supe persona and had aligned himself with Annie (AKA Starlighter) and the anti-Seven resistance movement.

So yeah, I was very pleased with the ending."
Whatever A-Train's fate, that certainly sounds pretty final. "It's not going to be a fairytale ending in any regard," Hughie actor Jack Quaid recently said. "This is the final season, and we really do mean that. There are characters, I won't say who, who meet their end, and it's crazy, it's really, really nuts."
The Boys season 5 debuts on Prime Video on April 8. In the meantime, check out our guide to the other best new TV shows still to come in 2026.
