Publisher Square Enix has released some screenshots from the upcoming Dragon Quest VII remake on 3DS. You can see them in the gallery above.
Originally released for PSOne in 2000, Square Enix confirmed last month that a Dragon Quest VII remake for 3DS would release in Japan on 7 February, 2013. Development duties are being handled by ArtePiazza, who most recently worked on DS remakes of Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride and Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation.
There’s no word yet on a release of Dragon Quest VII outside Japan, but given the Dragon Quest remakes on DS made it to US and Europe, there’s every reason to believe Dragon Quest VII will continue the tradition.
