World War Z was one of the surprise hits of the summer, overcoming a troubled production process to bring home an impressive global haul of $536 million.
Naturally, talk has since turned to the proposition of a sequel, with Brad Pitt now confirming that discussions are afoot over how to make that a reality.
“We're certainly talking about it, yeah,” says Pitt of a potential sequel. “We have so many ideas on the table from just the time we spent developing this thing and figuring out how zombie worlds work.”
“We have so many ideas and so much information, we think we have a lot of stuff to mine from. We're going to do our best and see what we get out of it. We gotta get the script right first to determine if we go further.”
Co-star Mireille Enos is also keen on a return, echoing Pitt’s sentiments regarding the script. “We’ll wait and see how the script turns out,” said Enos, “but yes, I’d love to come back.”
