Ever want to return to the simpler days of Pandora, when life was simpler and Mad Moxxi didn't have quite so many exes for you to kill? You could always have another go at the 2009 original, but it looks like 2K Games is hoping you'll give a shined-up new version a try.
Borderlands Remastered Edition has appeared in a listing on the Australian Classification Board's website (opens in new tab), and a 2K rep told me the company has nothing to say about it at this time. The listing's text doesn't tell you much more, aside from warning of 'strong violence' and 'online interactivity' - sounds right so far.
But the name indicates that this will be a visually improved version of the surprise hit that kicked off the loot-shooting franchise. Since Borderlands originally released on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360, it stands to reason that its 'remastered' version would hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One - though again, the listing itself doesn't say anything about platforms.
Gearbox Software and 2K Australia are listed as the authors, the same pairing behind Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel (opens in new tab). Between that, Tales from the Borderlands (opens in new tab), and this apparent update, fans should have enough to hold them over til whenever Borderlands 3 happens.
