Now in their 33rd year, the Golden Joystick Awards have 24 categories across the world of games including Best Original Game, Best Multiplayer and even your most wanted upcoming titles. You can vote on 21 of those categories including the brand new Best PlayStation, Best Nintendo and Best PC game awards. The new Critic's Choice and Breakthrough awards are being awarded by our expert panel.
Bloodborne is this years most nominated title with nine different award nominations while the incredible Her Story is up for eight. Batman Arkham Knight and Life Is Strange aren't far behind with seven nominations across the board and Metal Gear Solid 5 is already in the running for Game of the Year. The awards will be hosted on October 30th by writer, actor and comedian Danny Wallace who picked up his own Performance award for his narration in Thomas Was Alone. "The Golden Joysticks is a legendary event, voted for by the gamers themselves, and as a gamer, games actor and former games journalist I’m delighted to have been asked to host," he says. "These are exciting times for video games. Sonic vs Mario. Double Dragon. Talk of 'the Mega CD'. But who or what will walk away with an award? I’m looking forward to it all immensely."
