R-Rated Movies That Spawned Kiddie Games

Game: Darkman (1991) - NES
Movie: Darkman (1990)

The Movie: OK, this movie is about a scientist Peyton Westlake, who's on the verge of discovering a way to produce synthetic skin. This comes in handy early in the movie, when he's attacked by a demented criminal, Robert Durant, while working late in the lab. The jerk roasts him alive by setting everything on fire, and all of Peyton's skin melts off.

The joke's on Durant, though. He didn't count on Peyton having developed the one thing that could save his life. The fake skin is grafted onto Peyton's body, and he finds that he can use it to disguise himself as members of Durant's crime syndicate. The only catch is it'll all melt off if exposed to light for more than 99 minutes. Which is gross. Peyton then tracks down everyone who has anything to do with Durant and kills them all.

The Game: You play as Peyton and run through levels until you reach a crime lord and beat him up. The whole skin issue is still involved, but in a much less puke-worthy way: at the end of each level, you take pictures of your next target and construct a new disguise. The better the pictures, the more time you get for the next level. Your face falls off after that, but it's not as messy on the NES as it was on the big screen. On another note, the game's final boss is actually a clone of Darkman himself, for no discernable reason.
