The Wolverine has released a new image, with Logan baring both teeth and claws as he prepares himself for a scrap.
Scans of the new image were leaked online last week, but an official hi-res version has now been released. The still shows Wolvie in some Japanese-style living quarters, suggesting that somebody has paid him a house call after hours. They’ve even startled him out of wearing a shirt!
The new film will pick up some time after the events of X-Men: The Last Stand and will find a lonely Wolverine having upped sticks to the Far East in search of a new start.
That fresh beginning comes in the form of a beautiful Japanese girl, whose father just happens to be the head of a powerful Yakuza crime family. We smell trouble…
Directed by James Mangold and co-starring Hugh Jackman, Will Yun Lee and Tao Okamoto, The Wolverine will open in the UK on 26 July 2013.
