Production has officially started on Guy Ritchie’s Knights Of The Round Table, with the director marking the occasion by tweeting a first image from the set of the film.
The image gives us a first look at Charlie Hunnam’s Arthur, with he and Ritchie in the midst of a location shoot in a sun-dappled forest. About to film a sword-swinging action scene? We wouldn’t be surprised.
The new film will be a reimagining of the traditional Camelot story, with Ritchie hoping to make a further five films should the box office prove amenable first time out…

Jude Law is also on board as Vortigern, the villain of the piece while Djimon Hounsou has taken the role of Resistance leader Bedivere.
Co-starring Astrid Bergès-Frisbey, Aidan Gillen and Eric Bana, Knights Of The Round Table: King Arthur will open in the UK and US on 22 July 2016.
